The power

What power we wield.

The power to be harsh, or gentle.

The power to be critical, or supportive.

The power to be secretive, or sharing.

The power to belittle, or inspire.

The power to be selfish, or love.

How are we using our power?

The triumphant heart

The heart has many moods--sad, lonely, happy, forlorn, exultant.

The heart has many positive attributes--generosity, forgiveness, kindness, compassion, love.

But above all, the heart is resilient. It weathers deep disappointments and embraces exhilarating joys. It is the one constant in our inner lives and outward expressions.

The heart--magical, mystical, triumphant.

Simply nothing like it!

Simple gesture

Today, as I drove down the street a little boy waved at me very happily, asking for nothing but a smile in return. He was the very picture of innocence on a spring day, so welcome to my heart, so awestruck I am still by his simple gesture. Life's greatest pleasures are around the next corner!

Easy things

Many things in life--career, finances, illness--don't come easy.

But some things do--and they're absolutely free to experience!

Like a child's silly giggle--so disarming.

Like nature's glorious sunsets and gentle breezes--so invigorating.

Like a stranger's smile--so unexpected.

Like seeing an old friend after many years--so welcome.

Like embracing the loves in your life--so enthralling.

Kind of makes the other things a little more bearable, doesn't it?
